This sucker was from the small storm Saturday night. I was outside for 30 minutes trying to take some good photos of the lightning. All of them except this was an epic failure. But thankfully, I got lucky and got this baby!
How's that for photography??

Nice picture Dannie. I didn't even know that it was storming over the weekend, though, I do live in Congress.

Dannie, that is truly amazing! I would give so much to be able to take a picture like that, but I'm just not sure I can do it. When I try to take pictures of stuff at night (like the moon) it comes out really blurry, and that's what I think would happen if I tried to get a lightning picture, not to mention the timing. What setting did you use on your camera?

Thanks Shayna!
ReplyDeleteEmily, if you have a digital camera with photo settings, put it on night setting. You get the best night camera views, though they are best when the camera is still. I used a sunset setting (since obviously it was sunset).
Thats a pretty interesting angle the picture is set up to be in. I give you kudo's good work.
ReplyDeleteWow that's a really good picture! You way out did yourself. Good job!
